Follow My Playlist: Essential Kendrick

kendrick-lamar-march-madness-festival-1

Not much has happened since we last spoke about Kendrick Lamar, except for his show at the NCAA Final Four in Houston where he performed “untitled 07 Levitate” and really got the people going. Truth is, Kendrick Lamar Duckworth/K-Dot/King Kendrick/Cornrow Kenny has ascended to legendary status over the past 12 months/this decade so it’s only right that like Kanye, Pharrell, Nas, Ludacris, and The Beatles before him: I made an Essential Kendrick playlist.

His latest release untitled unmastered. is at the top, but there are some tracks from Section.80 and Overly Dedicated worth your time if you haven’t yet gone back and checked them out, plus many (random) features — none are the iconic “Control” unfortunately. That said, it’s by no means comprehensive, but it is a list of every Kendrick song and feature (on Spotify) I feel like I need quick access to at any time,
you know, just in case. Let me know if I missed any.
